Job Description
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to optimize purchasing decisions and support project timelines.
- Assist in sourcing and procuring materials, spare parts, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
- Review purchase requisitions and requests for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct price comparisons, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and place purchase orders.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing.
- Assist in vendor evaluation and selection processes to ensure quality and reliability.
- Perform office administrative work and support the operation of the workshop and purchasing team.
Requirements
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related role within the construction industry is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market dynamics is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Able to liaise with English and Chinese-speaking colleagues/workers.
- Fresh graduates from polytechic and university are welcome to apply.
Additional Requirements
- Assistant: Ability to work under supervision and willingness to learn.
- Executive: More than 2 years of relevant experience in the construction sector.
