ABOUT THE ROLE
As the STP (Slurry Treatment Plant) Operator, you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of slurry treatment facilities. This role involves monitoring equipment, conducting regular inspections, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and monitor slurry treatment equipment and systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of treatment processes and equipment to identify any issues or abnormalities.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on pumps, separators, filters, and other equipment to ensure reliability and longevity.
- Familiar with Tunnel boring machine (TBM) tunnelling operations
- Knowledge of slurry treatment plant and tunnelling to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions as needed to minimize downtime.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication and welding
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, equipment readings, maintenance activities, and chemical usage.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Slurry Treatment Plant (STP) Operator
- Must be able to converse in English
- Must be familiar with Tunnel boring machine (TBM) operations
- Must have LTA tunnelling projects experience
- Must be able to work for long hours and shift hours
- Knowledge of HSE & environment standards and safety requirements
