As Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in defining, maintaining, and implementing the company IT security strategy. You will apply your deep expertise in information security technologies, concepts, and methodologies to combat potential cyber threats and ensure regulatory compliance.
You will find yourself engineering, implementing, and managing security measures and IT security services to protect organization’s applications from vulnerabilities and cyber-attacks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure deliverables are completed within timelines and within expected quality.
- Identifies security requirements needed to secure changes in applications, systems, and infrastructure.
- Lead the identification of threats and cyber risks across changes in applications, systems, and infrastructure within their assigned domains and/or projects.
- Ensure that mitigating actions are feasible given resources and dependencies on hand.
- Establish and implement KPIs in the various phases of security reviews,
- Be able to design and implement security at: Infrastructure level, application level, endpoint level and code level.
- Be able to test vulnerability: Infrastructure level, application level, endpoint level and code level.
- Adapt new controls and solution set for inclusion in current and future projects and change requests.
- Provide support as needed relative to the design reviews, implementation, and cyber testing.
- Provide guidance/advise to the Technology teams on how to improve the current control set.
- Collaborate with other teams towards identification of new threats and risks and identify solutions on how to manage them.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 5 years of combined hands-on IT implementation work experience with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Strong attention to detail when analyzing data and identifying potential threats.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: must be able to analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Ethical and trustworthy: Cyber Security Engineers have access to sensitive information and must maintain high levels of integrity and trustworthiness.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Specific Qualifications:
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRT, CPSA, OSCP or other related certification is preferred.
