Roles and Responsibilities
- Uphold the confidentiality, integrity, quality, technical, health and safety aspects of the company.
- Conduct routine test analysis in compliance with methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Release and data entry for operational results and QC checking.
- Maintain quality and technical documentation and laboratory records with audit trails.
Identify abnormalities and discrepancies in testing, calibration, and results.
Use laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks. - Perform basic calibration of equipment in the respective section when necessary.
- Maintain equipment by performing assigned maintenance activities and troubleshoot unexpected problems.
- Assist the Supervisor in updating/developing of test methods and working instructions.
PCR Technologist Scopes:
- Perform routine nucleic acid extraction/purification and PCR analyses in compliance with SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines in a timely manner.
- Evaluate PCR results to ensure accuracy and determine interference/inhibition if any.
- Maintain stringent pre and post PCR containment procedures.
- Ensure proper preparation and storage of PCR related reagents and samples.
- Ensure all quality control procedures are in place along with identifying and reporting any quality issues.
- Monitor PCR consumables inventory levels, coordinate purchases with Scientific Officer.
- Responsible for housekeeping of laboratory.
- Any other tasks as and when assigned by supervisors.
Microbiologist Scopes:
- Conduct routine microbiological analyses in compliance with standard methods, SOPs, and regulatory agency guidelines in a timely manner.
- Prepare of microbiological media and standards and sterility checks.
Assist the maintenance of reference cultures/standards.
Perform bacterial culture isolation and identification and enumeration. - Perform or lead proficiency testing/s programs.
