We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Cloud Solutions Engineering to lead our talented team of Cloud Engineers. The ideal candidate will drive the development and delivery of innovative cloud solutions, leveraging their expertise in cloud automation, governance, and financial operations (FinOps) controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic consulting guidance to internal clients on cloud solutions engineering, best practices, and optimization strategies.
- Lead the development of tooling for effective execution of cloud governance and FinOps controls
- Manage and mentor a team of highly skilled Cloud Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the adoption of our Cloud Blueprints cloud infrastructure provisioning solution.
- Advise on industry best practices in infrastructure-as-code (IaC), continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with business objectives and ensure successful delivery of cloud migrations and cloud modernization projects.
- Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends, and provide thought leadership to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as a professional technologist, with a strong focus on cloud computing and software development
- Expert-level proficiency in Terraform and Cloud Custodian for infrastructure-as-code and cloud governance.
- In-depth knowledge of Gitlab, Github, Azure DevOps, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices
- Proven track record of managing and leading high-performance teams of skilled engineers
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale cloud migration and transformation projects
