SICS has a strong focus on early life health and human potential. SICS is renowned for its groundbreaking nationwide birth cohort studies, including Growing Up in Singapore Towards healthy Outcomes (GUSTO) and Singapore PREconception Study of long-Term maternal and child Outcomes (S-PRESTO), which aim to understand the impact of developmental, behavioral, environmental and social factors on child development.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Postdoctoral Researcher at A*STAR Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS). The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for leading the data analysis in a large multidisciplinary study, focused on understanding the influence of the antenatal and postnatal exposome on child development and child health. The role requires active collaboration with multiple teams focused on different aspects of maternal and child health.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in statistical modelling, machine learning and deep learning.
- Prior experience in biostatistics, Bayesian statistics, correlation network analysis and environmental mixtures analysis will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in R/Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and academic writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Epidemiology, Public Health, etc.).
