Job Summary
The Executive Officer supports the Manager in engaging primary and secondary students and providing education assistance. He/she is responsible for the development and execution of programmes for targeted Malay/Muslim parents and children.
The incumbent is expected to work from between 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisation events. Although he/she is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, he/she is also expected to travel for meetings.
Key Responsibility Areas
Programme Development and Management
- Oversee the delivery and operations of Perform In School education initiatives and programmes (such as the Coaching Programme in primary and secondary schools).
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Perform In School programmes through the collection and analysis of feedback.
- Conduct reviews of programmes and recommend areas of improvement or adaptation to suit the needs of school-going children.
- Oversee the delivery and operations of identified Self Help Group Programmes.
- Deliver educational and developmental programmes where necessary.
Strategic and Partnership Management
- Keep abreast of education and development trends in the community.
- Assist in identifying and networking with potential and existing partners for collaboration on the provision of resources as well as the delivery of programmes.
- Respond to requests and follow-up with governmental agencies and representatives on the status of programmes.
Financial Planning and Management
- Assist in the department’s forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Implement budget plans to manage resource allocations to department’s programmes.
- Monitor budget outcomes to ensure proper utilisation and accounting of resources.
Other Administrative Duties
- Collate and generate departmental progress reports for updates to the management.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in Education Programmes or Event Management from any recognized
- institution.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Malay languages.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels.
- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Resourceful and takes initiative to effect change.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
