5. Having working experience in TMSA (Tanker Management Self-Assessment) audit or third party such as oil major audits is preferred.
6. Having working experience in classification societies or the marine industry is preferred.

Job Description:
The QHSSE Superintendent reports to the QHSSE Manager and is responsible to monitor and implement marine safety and environmental matters on assigned vessels, and support the DPA in the implementation, operation and improvement of the company Integrated Management System (IMS) and include the following:
1. Monitor and implement marine, safety and environmental matters on assigned vessels, and support the QHSSE Manager in the implementation, operation and improvement of the company Integrated Management System (IMS).
2. Carry out Internal Audits (ISM, ISPS, Navigation, etc.) as per Company IMS procedure, and report findings to the Company after completion of audits.
3. Assist in the planning of the internal audit schedule for the fleet;
4. Apply, coordinate and arrange vessels’ SMC & ISSC audits with Flag and Class.
5. Monitor and implement ship/shore emergency drills schedules
6. Train vessels’ officers and crew in implementing shipboard procedures, updating records, reporting to shore office etc. in accordance with the company’s IMS procedures
7. Assist in the selection and interview of deck officers and to conduct appraisal for crew members, as and when required.
8. Assist in the development of new procedures, safety circulars and notices as per oil majors, CDI, flag state, class and statutory requirements
9. Assist in the investigation of incident/accident and near miss.
10. Monitor the company KPI’s for update at bi-monthly safety meeting.
11. Monitor, verify and close out NCRs, incidents, Near Miss and to respond to vessels when required
12. Review and respond to monthly Shipboard Safety Management meeting, Vessel Management Committee meeting and Master’s Review Reports of SMS, SSP, SSA, etc
13. Conduct risk assessment training for vessel’s officers as and when required
14. Ensure the latest updated flag & IMO circulars and publications including NTM and SMPEP, and SEEMP as well as the SOPEP contact lists are maintained on all vessels.
15. Monitor vessels’ compliance to safety procedures and environmental protection requirements:
a) Company’s Policies
b) IMO/SOLAS/MARPOL conventions
c) Safety Regulations
d) Pollution Prevention
e) Flag Administration Rules & Regulations
f) Major Oil Companies’ Requirements
g) Drug & Alcohol Policy and Procedures
h) Contingency Planning
16. Contribute and participate in marine, safety and environmental matters in line with the latest maritime industry requirements
17. assist QHSE manager to prepare compnay DOC audit, apply for the audit and liaise with the auditors to conclude. Any observations and/or NCs recorded to be closed out.
18. assist QHSE manager to prepare, review and make amendments in TMSA annually, and publish in OCIMF website.
19. Assist to monitor QHSSE department expenses are within the approved budget
20. Assist the QHSSE Manager in operational matters when required.
21. Any other duties as and when assigned by the QHSSE Manager.
