Our client is an internationally known multinational in the industrial sector. They are now looking to hire a highly driven and experienced individual as a Finance Manager to be part of their team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full Finance & Accounting responsibilities for the Singapore entities. Manage financial operations and drive operational efficiency to ensure smooth day-to-day running of operations. Ensure closing activities are performed timely and accurate group reporting. Escalate financial issues and drive corrective action whenever needed. Ensures that all corporate and governance requirements (e.g. survey, statistic report, company information) are met as well as keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
- Compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements: Liaise and work closely with internal and external auditors to understand and enforce policies/procedures/practices to fully meet the relevant requirements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to internal and external authorities for group and statutory compliance with local GAAP. The incumbent will review, examine, and analyze accounting records, and prepare annual financial statements, and other required financial reports promptly.
- Annual budget: Work proactively with the business stakeholders to pursue the effective formulation of the annual Budget Plan and provide management in-depth analysis for effective business decision-making and execution
.Communicate, discuss, and challenge the business impacts with business managers and provide the needed business input and commentary whenever requiredResponsible in the analysis of monthly financial results/forecasts, annual budget, actuals, including making recommendations to management to make well-informed commercial decisions. - Process improvements: Review the current work processes and identify areas to streamline for greater efficiency. The incumbent will also need to work with shared service to work out new processes for a more effective and efficient lean team.
- Management of internal controls and financial / accounting systems: Maintain effective systems with strong internal controls implemented to govern the integrity of all systems, processes, and data and enhance the quality of the Company’s data. Maintain accurate financial and accounting records through proper control and verification processes to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analyses: Undertake analyses on regional financial results and variances to provide insights and recommendations to improve performance. Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to other business stakeholders to drive business strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification recognized by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants / ACCA or equivalent
- At least five years of relevant audit and financial accounting experience with an MNC, preferably with a shared service centre environment
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and working knowledge of Singapore tax regulations and Companies Act requirements
- Results oriented, well organized, detailed-conscious, and possess project management skills
- Prior working experience with hands-on knowledge of SAP FI COPA modules, information technology and Power BI systems will be highly advantageous
- Demonstrated the ability to work with people at any level in an organisation
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise with strong analytical skill
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines
