The Events Manager executes events while ensuring that all logistics requirements are carried out according to the event plans. He/She manages the event plans and works closely with other departments to ensure that all operational requirements of the events are fulfilled.
He/She is detailed and resourceful, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. He/She is able to react quickly to deviations in the event plans.
He/She works in a flexible workweek, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, and is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the nature of the events.
Job Responsibilities as a Events Manager
- Work on event production projects from sourcing quotation, quotation preparation, to execution
- Co-ordinate with internal teams and consolidate relevant project information
- Keep track of event production and set up a plan
- Oversee production, installation, and on-site setup and tear down by vendors
- Facilitate set up by external sponsors
- Application of permits for stakeholders and government agencies.
- Plan and booking of venues for events
- Liaison with event venue owners for necessary documentation
- Crafting of road closure plans and risk assessment reports
- Manpower recruitment and administration
- Assist in projects as and when required.
Job Requirements
- Relevant events management experience in exhibitions / events
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Able to multi-task and follow tight schedules
- Proactive and meticulous
- Willing to work outside of normal office hours and on weekends for events.
- Possess a valid Class 3 Driving License (Car / Motorbike) or posses personal transport
