Design and engineering management
- Act as the primary link between the construction team and external design consultants.
- Act as the primary link between the project team and the client’s design team on all design related items.
- Provide clear direction as to approach, schedule and priorities to the external design consultants and manage their works to ensure deliverables are received in good time to facilitate construction.
- Engage with Project/Site Engineers and Construction management team to incorporate site constraints and preferred construction techniques/methods into the design
- Resolve design related queries
- Verify design and review deliverables for completeness and accuracy
- Manage and engage with different specialist OEM – clarifier, membrane, air compressor, ozone generator, chiller and etc
Site operations coordination and monitoring
- Engage with Site Engineers and Construction Management team for design requirements; gather input and discuss technical requirements
- Provide technical guidance and guide team to execute design requirements
- Periodic inspection of works being carried out and check operations and execution for adherence with design drawings
- Participate / guide team to participate in weekly meetings with site team, provide information about engineering and design aspects and present progress on scheduled works
Compliance review and monitoring
- Review all designs for compliance with engineering principles and relevant design codes
- Review all drawings for adherence with CAD standards and Leighton’s operating procedures
- Guide team to file designs / drawings, maintain record of delivery and timesheets for development and delivery schedule
- Guide team to resolve instances of non-compliances
People management
- Train and mentor subordinates on technical as well as behavioural aspects of their respective roles
- Provide opportunities to the team to develop their capabilities
Job Requirements
- Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering Degree recognized by Singapore Professional Engineers Board
- Total Work Experience: 10 years of experience preferably in municipal or waste water industries.
- Knowledge of design water Processes, and MEICA requirement, analyses and relevant codes.
- Knowledge FDS, MEICA equipment, instruments & Analysers selection and implementation requirement.
- Knowledge of BIM requirement aspects of engineering and design
- Knowledge of project management
- Experiences in executing complete water plant from design, engineering, installation and T&C of water plant in Singapore or around the region of at least 30MiGD and above.
- Knowledge with chemical and gases used in water industries.
