The individual must be knowledgeable in the financial accounting concepts and methodologies, local GSTand IRAS computation regulations.
BROAD FUNCTIONS
- Prepare financial accounts, unaudited financial statements and compute tax independently.
- Responsible for completion of job within timeframeand helping clients to meet their various statutory (IRAS, ACRA) deadlines.
- Meet company monthly targets.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Handle full set of accounts for clients:
- Book-keeping
- Unaudited financial statements
- Tax and GST matters, including computation of tax,prepare ECI, perform GST reconciliation, filing of GST and Corporate Tax/Personal Income Tax
2. Handle payroll jobs. This includes preparation of monthly payroll (including CPF submission) and yearly IR8A forms.
3. Liaise professionally with clients on accounting and tax related matters.
4. Any other matters assigned.
Guide/Mentor a team of Accounts Associates/Assistants in achieving team goals and customer fulfillment.
The successful candidate must have a rich extensive accounting and tax related knowledge and able to thrive in a fast paced, results-oriented environment, able to creatively solve problems, think on his/her own & be comfortable in new situations working with multiplestakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
- At least 5 years' experience:
A. Working as an accounts staff in various industries; and
B. Preparing full sets of accounts.
OR:
At least 3 years' experience:
A. Working in an accounting firm; and
B. Preparing full sets of accounts.
- Experience in performing tax computations would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior accounting staff for at least a year.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks software an advantage.
- Able to work independently
- Good communicator, persuasive and enterprising.
- Good written and oral communication skills; articulate and persuasive presence and speakingexperience required.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, goal/result oriented and works well under pressure.
