About Our Client
The company have been established for more than 15 years in the distribution and trading business with global operations across APAC, US and Europe markets. We are now embarking on an accelerated growth journey to enter into new markets in the coming year across various terriroties and is currently looking for a Global Finance Director to be a key support for the executive management team.
Job Description
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Provide strategic guidance on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions.
- Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, accounting, taxation, and auditing. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards across all regions.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, such as currency fluctuations, market volatility, and economic changes, to safeguard the company's financial health.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a global finance team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure effective collaboration and high performance across geographies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between finance and other departments, as well as stakeholders, including executives, investors, and board members. Provide clear and concise financial insights and reports to support decision-making.
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Drive financial due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships. Lead negotiations, financial structuring, and integration processes to maximize value and minimize risks.
- Financial Technology & Systems: Evaluate and implement financial systems, tools, and technologies to optimize financial operations, streamline processes, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in progressively senior finance roles, with a focus on international finance and operations.
- Hands-on, ability to thrive with ambiguities and work in a start-up/lean structure outside of headquarter.
- In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance across different markets
- Excellent communication skills, effectively bilingual to communicate with stakeholders based in China and across other parts of the world.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
