Job Details
- Assist in the development, construction, testing, and maintenance of SQL databases and data pipelines
- Participate in data modelling, database design, ETL, and reporting tasks under supervision
- Proficient in complex SQLs, stored Procedures Hands-on experience in Teradata Data base will be an advantage.
- Perform extensive unstructured data ingestion into Hadoop,
- Communicate with Business Analysts, Data Modelers and Solution Architects when it comes to converting the design into specific data pipeline activities.
- Assist in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data loading, data quality, data cleansing and other data-related activities.
- Create documentation, conduct testing, deliver codes with utmost quality.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Banking systems is a plus.
- Junior Data Engineer with Minimum 2 years of IT working experience
- Knowledge in Datawarehousing/Big Data and working experience of ETL tools like Talend Informatica, Ab Initio, DataStage etc.
- Proficient in complex SQLs, stored Procedures Hands-on experience in Teradata Data base will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of scheduling tools (Control M, Autosys etc..).
- Well versed with Unix commands and scripting.
- Strong familiarity of SDLC process, preferably Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of different programming languages is beneficial.
