Job purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage effective Container Control & Logistics, including but not limited to container supply/demand planning and execution, repositioning management, EMS and D&D management.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Container Control Aspect.
- Container Fleet Management including On/Offhire planning and execution.
- Container procurement and sale activites.
- Container demand/supply planning & flow management
- Container operations activities including sub-lease/oneway/interchange, etc.
- Inventory management.
- Empty container repositioning management.
- Budget & cost management.
- Other equipment management related tasks as assigned by management.
Detention & Demurrage (D&D).
- Liaise with local offices to ensure detention & demurrage charges are collected.
- Reconcilitaion of detention & demurrage amount.
- Handling & processing of detention disputes/waiver requests.
- Other related tasks & reports.
Equipment Management System (EMS)
- ensuring container movement/status data integrity in EMS.
- Errors identification, correction & updation.
- Maintaining and executing container disposal through EMS.
- Other related tasks & reports.
