Volunteer / Project Coordinator
Location:
- Office: Redhill / Queenstown (Tanglin International Centre)
- Projects based in Cambodia / Nepal
Salary: $2800 - $3800 (depends on exp)
Working hours: Mon-Fri 830am-530pm / Flexible
Job Summary:
We are non-profit NGO/charity with operations in Cambodia and Nepal. The Volunteer /Projects Coordinator will liaise and facilitate with volunteers who are interested in going to these countries for community or service-learning projects. Project Coordinator will assist in starting Livelihood projects.
Job Descriptions:
A) Working with Teams:
- Work out quotation and itinerary for teams volunteering to go to Cambodia to build houses, wells, toilets and other activities such as interaction with children at our children home.
- Lead teams to Cambodia and ensure the staff have organized the program properly such as material are purchased, beneficiaries selected, accommodation and meals properly catered for.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure the above are carried out before the team arrives.
- When in Cambodia, ensure that volunteers are assigned tasks to do and all tools, equipment and materials are available.
- Work out the budget to be transferred to Cambodia before team arrives.
- Ensure staff follows SOPs in executing the projects.
- Promote and market these volunteer opportunities/programs to schools, tertiary institutions, companies, and churches.
B.) Working on Projects
- Assist in starting new income generating projects.
- Handle startup projects and solves obstacles
- Do research and acquire skills and knowledge to execute the project.
- Work with staff/locals, to guide and supervise them.
- Areas of work: - build houses, wells, toilets etc.
Job Requirements:
- Willing to travel to Cambodia or Nepal and stay up to 4 weeks if needed per trip (may need to travel once a month or more)
- Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree
