Job and Duties for Project Quantity Surveyor:
Tendering and Procurement:
-Prepare tender documentation and contracts.
-Negotiate contracts with main con to secure favourable terms.
Contract Management:
-Draft, review, and manage contracts.
-Monitor contract compliance and address any contractual issues.
-Administer contract variations, claims, and extensions of time.
Cost Control and Financial Reporting:
-Track project progress identify cost overruns.
Measurement and Valuation:
-Prepare bills of quantities and other necessary documentation.
-Undertake periodic valuations of completed work for interim and final payments.
Change Management:
-Assess the cost impact of project changes and variations.
-Negotiate change orders with contractors.
Project Documentation and Records Management:
-Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.
-Ensure proper documentation of all project transactions and changes.
Job requirements:
-Understanding of contract law and construction contracts.
-Ability to draft, review, and manage contracts.
-Proficiency in taking measurements from drawings or on-site.
-Ability to prepare bills of quantities (BQs) and other related documents.
-Understanding of project phases and workflows.
-Experience with tender preparation, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
-Effective communication and negotiation skills.
