SOCIAL WORKER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Undertake social casework and provide individual and family counselling as a member of the rehabilitation team.
2. Network with other agencies or community groups to obtain resources to meet the needs of the clients and their family members.
3. Participate in caregivers’ training and support work activities and public education.
4. Provide administrative support to the department.
5. Undertake any duties as assigned by staff-in-charge
REQUIREMENTS:
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from a Recognized University
· Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience as a Social Worker or fresh graduate.
· For fresh graduate, to apply for accreditation with Singapore Association of Social Workers for professional practice within 12 months of graduation.
· Listening and Communication skills, Counseling skills and Organizational skills. Has empathy and a sense of compassion. Be able to advocate for clients and caregivers. Skills to do simple assessment of family needs. Skills to collaborate and network with internal and external recourses.
