Our client is a small public listed company with its headquarters in Singapore, is principally engaged in property investment business. They are now looking for a Financial Controller to join their leadership team based in Singapore.
Job Description
- Reporting to the CEO & managing a Finance team
- Full accountability and accuracy of reports, including financial reports, budget & forecasting
- Effective implementation, administration, compliance of accounting policies , procedures , controls and practices
- Lead in business planning, internal management reports, assist in short and long term strategic plans
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, bankers, lawyers and government agencies
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and stock exchange regulations in financial reporting.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
- Manage the capital structure, funding, and treasury functions to support operational and strategic needs.
- Lead M&A activities and strategic partnerships to facilitate company growth and expansion.
- Foster strong investor relations by providing transparent and insightful financial information.
- Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance, CPA, ACCA or equivalent with min 8 years of finance leadership experience. Prior experience in IPO listing.
- Good leadership and dedicated team player, dynamic , confident and positive disposition
- Ability to make value added changes to achieve business objectives and goals
- Proven experience as a FC or in a senior financial leadership role within a listed company.
- Extensive knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills with the ability to drive key financial decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A track record of successful financial leadership and driving organizational growth.
