Job Description
The Mechanobiology Institute, Singapore is a multidisciplinary institute committed to develop new paradigms for biomedical research by focusing on the quantitative analysis of dynamic functional processes. Through quantitative biophysical approaches, we address major problems in biomedical sciences including pathogenesis (from bacterial to cancer), tissue regeneration, and function.
We are seeking to recruit a Research Associate at the Mechanobiology Institute, NUS, to join Dr. Yusuke Toyama's research group. Candidates with experience in immunology and cell mechanics are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will work on a project studying the function of macrophages in mouse adipose tissue, with the opportunity to work with cutting-edge methodologies and instrumentation that complement and augment the capabilities of individual research laboratories.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in life sciences or biomedical disciplines.
- Competence in molecular biology, cell culture, confocal microscopy, image analyses, and mouse handling, including dissection
- Good understanding of immunology, cell biology and cell migration is highly desired
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Highly motivated to work both independently and as a team member
