As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting financial insights and supporting decision-making processes through meticulous data analysis and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end close activities.
- Assist in day to day General Ledger and Accounts Payable operations.
- Assist in preparation of Statutory Filling or Reporting.
- Oversee employee reimbursement process firm-wide.
- Prepare accounting journal entries and ensuring accounting principles and company policies are complied with.
- Prepare financial statements for management reporting and audits
- Handle and resolve vendor and internal stakeholder's queries.
- Assist with the quarterly operating plan and budget process for the company.
- Analyze financial information and provide real-time reports support to management for decision making purposes.
- Assist in Ad-hoc projects.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/Business.
- Big 4 accounting firm experience desired but not a must.
- Prior experience with VC or Hedge Fund structures would be viewed favourably.
- Strong initiative and ability to think outside the box.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with people across different cultures.
- Technically competent and hands-on professional.
- Good with information systems process flow and controls.
- Experience in SQL / Power Query preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with voluminous data management, statistics and research methodology will be a plus.
- Prior regional experience is a plus but not a must.
