At Horizon Quantum Computing, we're developing tools to simplify and expedite the process of developing software for quantum computers, a fundamentally new form of computer that leverages quantum physics to process information more efficiently. We are an international team headquartered in Singapore, serving key markets worldwide.
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Controller. The successful candidate will be based in our Singapore office and will work closely with company leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the company - accounting, financial operations and FP&A. Within the company and through third party payroll vendors.
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with local standards and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for finance-related strategies, initiatives and activities for company-wide financial accounting, auditing and reporting.
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure the company has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
- Review consolidated financial statements and provide guidance to the team in all aspects of accounting and compliance
- Evaluate and continually improve accounting procedures, processes and systems to ensure efficient operations, accuracy of financial reporting, integrity of corporate data, finance governance compliance and the safeguarding of assets.
- Ensure compliance to local regulations, tax returns and statutory accounts.
- Work closely with other employees and service providers to ensure timely completion of annual audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field and internationally recognized professional certification is required.
- At least 5 years of working experience in a similar role

- Acute attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive mindset and strong work ethic
- Competence to work both autonomously and collaboratively
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Docs)
