Overview:

This role is responsible to lead and manage the KAS Innovation team and you are expected to play a crucial role in driving the success of our system by ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance within various applications through IoT (internet of things) and automation. This position is also responsible for turn-key project to ensure all KAS projects especially software programming are executed on schedule and within budget. The incumbent is also responsible to ensure Kemin has the most optimum solutions offering in terms of pricing and reliability of our KAS Innovation system. Ensure all KAS Innovation is well maintained within the stipulated service interval as per agreed schedule. To develop and implement continuous quality improvement process and system in innovation technology to strengthen Kemin’s competitive position in this business segmentation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, market trends and technological advancements and leverage this knowledge to enhance our offerings using various technology and automation platform and it’s requirements.This position also needs to participate and attend local/oversea exhibitions, seminars, training, and workshops. On top of that, this position also needs to communicate and exchange experience with global counterparts regularly.


Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accomplishment of all assigned Innovation projects pipelines in a timely manner
  2. Develop and implement strategies to integrate our products into our diverse applicators.
  3. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for task and workflow automation.
  4. Technical and Innovation supports to the respective country sales team.
  5. Oversee the preparation of Application Equipment Proposals, Equipment Sales Contracts, Equipment hardware and component purchases, Equipment Operating/Maintenance Manuals and Applicator service.
  6. Ensure product application utilization rate (AUR) targets are achieved with existing customers.
  7. Responsible for continuous engineering innovation in order to produce more cost-efficient durable equipment.
  8. Provide direction for system control software development and online data acquisition
  9. Provide direction for online web application and interfacing.
  10. A good team player and able to collaborate with regional sales personnel, research personnel, marketing personnel and other support functions.
  11. Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.
  12. Motivate and develop staffs through sound people’s management strategies.
  13. The incumbent will be expected to travel both domestically and internationally 50%-80% of the time.


Requirements:

  • Profound engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical and software background.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in liquid application systems in animal feed industries with broad experience including customer service and sales support.
  • Sound knowledge of Siemens software controller & SCADA.
  • Ability to design, assemble and install application equipment at customer sites.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with ability to understand equipment needs and potential issues.
  • Must have a solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy.
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, energetic, and a business minded manager.
  • Leadership strengths to manage a big team, set priorities, delegate responsibilities, and meet timetables leading to the attainment of growth goals.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Highly strategic oriented.
  • Must provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Self-motivated to accomplish business and personal objectives.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities and determine appropriate action.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and work effectively in a diverse team environment to achieve customer and product objectives, including R&D, Operations, Product & Technical Managers and Sales.
  • Well organized and an effective planner in use of resources while demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness as market needs dictate.
  • Ability to act as Kemin's designated point of contact or work side-by-side with on-site contractors (example customer hardware and software Company)
  • Computer proficiency in Auto-Cad/Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications is required.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with multiple products, customers, and regional managers.
  • Willing to travel and work irregular hours.
