As the New Building Manager, you will be responsible for managing the new building projects from start to finish. You will work closely with the internal team, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful completion of each project. Your role will involve overseeing the construction and outfitting of new vessels, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and managing the project budget and timeline.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall new building projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution
- Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and classification society requirements
- Oversee the construction and outfitting of new vessels
- Monitor project progress, budget, and timeline
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Prepare project reports and documentation
- Previous experience in new building project management
- Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes and regulations
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Engineering or maritime-related degree is preferred
- Ability to travel as required for project inspections or meetings
