We are looking for a skilled Fund Accountant to join our client’s finance team on a 12-month project with a focus on investment reporting. Our client is a well-established key player in the Financial Services industry. As a Fund Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the reporting team.
The Role
Conducting month-end financial closing activities, including
- Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Posting adjusting journal entries to correct discrepancies.
- Reviewing and analysing financial transactions to identify errors or irregularities.
- Coordinating with other departments to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.
- Performing variance analysis between reporting periods.
Preparing management reports, regulatory reports and financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements.
Investigating anomalies and liaise with relevant internal and external parties, such as 3rd party fund administrators, to address issues in accordance with policies and procedures.
Support investment-linked funds reporting requirements such as fund reports and factsheets.
Your Profile
- Accountancy/ Finance/ Business Administration or similar degree.
- Demonstrated interest in the investment/ finance industry, fund accounting or regulatory reporting.
- Knowledge of various investment asset classes, investment operations or fund accounting.
- Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
