Assistant Purchasing Planning Manager

Objectives of the position:


The overall in-charge of Purchasing planning Department, responsible and accountable for Dept‘s performances. Represent company in Regional SCM Community. As one of the key player in APAC Control Tower Purchasing Planning team, the individual will be expected to design, lead and ensure the implementation of the demand planning strategies for accurate forecast and inventory optimization to achieve the goals of department and group.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Lead and guide Purchasing Planning Team

2. Overlook daily operations (Demand planning, purchase order processing, freight management, cross trade shipment)

3. Handle ABC analysis and inventory & material planning

4. Supplier performance evaluation

5. Reporting on company’s KPIs’ such availability, order line fill rate, drag

6. Material master management

7. Handle annual scrap tender exercise

8. Key users to assist in any SCM reporting automation

9. Key User to Global MM and PDM community

10. Quarterly Sales, Inventory and Operating Planning meeting with Customers

11. Lean Operation System lead and Co-ordinator

12. Any other tasks assign by Head of Supply Chain & LOS, APAC


Skills & Qualification:


• Bachelor of Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Business related field

• Knowledge in SAP system (ECC 6.0, S4 HANA, BI) with supply chain project experience

• Min 7 years of purchasing operations experience, candidates with supervisory experience would be at advantage

• Have knowledge in material and inventory & demand planning / analysis and S&OP

• Microsoft Office (Power point, Words, Excel)

• Good written and communication skills

• Knowledge in International Trading Business (Eg: Free Trade Agreement, Freight Forwarding, Incoterm)
