Group Strategic Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the FairPrice Group brand in an increasingly omni-channel retail industry. Working closely with all units within the FairPrice Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital and media communications to differentiate - and elevate - our brand purpose and narratives.


As the philanthropic arm of Singapore’s largest retailer, FairPrice Foundation (FPF) is dedicated to keeping daily essentials within reach for all in Singapore. Our mission includes serving the needs of Singapore’s poor and needy, supporting worker welfare, and fostering meaningful community engagement to deepen community bonds and build a more inclusive society.


The Role

You will be part of the FairPrice Foundation team that spearheads the development and implementation of funded initiatives and programmes, while nurturing partnerships with community partners to expand its outreach and impact in society. These efforts serve to fortify the FairPrice Group brand while amplifying our storytelling across digital and media platforms, elevating our brand narrative amidst a dynamic retail landscape.


Job Description

  • Work in a dynamic team to support in the creation and execution of a first-in-kind flagship programme and portfolio aimed at ensuring essential daily necessities are readily available for lower-income individuals and families.
  • Lead and support the planning, coordination and execution of events for key Foundation programmes including cultivating strategic partnerships with community stakeholders to identify needs and ensuring programmes and giving are data-driven so as to address needs of the community.
  • Manage the grantmaking process including, reviewing applications and disbursement of funds and sponsorships, providing up to date records of contributions to causes, ensuring accurate budget management for allocation and financial reporting. 
  • Monitor and evaluate program outputs and outcomes, including drafting impact reports of Foundation’s giving and communicating results across communication channels.
  • Together with FairPrice Group’s Strategic Communications team, support in developing communications plans for the Foundation, using storytelling to amplify impact to strengthen the narrative of the Foundation’s social mission, including crafting compelling social media posts and website write-ups that resonate with audiences.
  • Any other assigned projects or duties.

Requirements

Requirements


  • At least 5-7 years of experience in program management, event planning/coordination, communications and/or community engagement within a non-profit or social impact setting. Applicants from organisations with a strong social purpose or dual bottomline will also be favourably considered.
  • Program management - Proven experience in grant administration and/or sponsorship activities; proficiency in the grantmaking process, including reviewing applications, monitoring funds, and ensuring compliance with requirements. Ability to contribute to the creation and execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the foundation's mission.
  • Partnership development - Demonstrated success cultivating relationships with community stakeholders and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
  • Impact tracking - ability to analyse and interpret data, track program outcomes, and generate insightful impact reports.
  • Communications - Exceptional storytelling and content creation skills, crafting engaging messages across social media, websites, and traditional media channels.
  • Dexterity - Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Administration and governance - Experience managing budgets and financial reporting on projects or initiatives.
  • Personality - Sense of humour and laugh at oneself; ability to stay calm under pressure and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; self-motivated and passionate about serving the everyday Singaporean. 


Educational qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications, minimum Bachelor’s degree in any related field
