Assistant Finance Manager

Work Location: Tuas West
Working Hours: 730AM - 5PM
Island Wide Transportation pick up to work

Main Responsibilities:

• Project Cost Management
• Month-end closing, year-end audits, and tax procedures
• Collaborating with various departments (Commercial, Production, HR)
• Assisting in business entity transitions (e.g., changing functional currency, assessing tax implications)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with tax agents to fulfill tax obligations, including reviewing tax computations.
• Offer support for any ad-hoc corporate tax inquiries from IRAS.
• Aid in the transition to a new yard, including tax planning, setting up a new entity in SAP to accommodate changes in functional currency, and reassessing existing procedures.
• Assess and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of current accounting processes, internal controls, and procedures.
• Ensure month-end entries are reviewed promptly and accurately for the month-end closing process.
• Review monthly audit schedules and reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Oversee the preparation of GST and corporate tax documents by the team.
• Provide assistance in preparing transfer pricing documents.
• Collaborate with auditors to meet audit requirements, including the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Undertake various ad-hoc tasks, including government surveys and preparing reports as requested by management
• Experienced in providing guidance and coaching to a small team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Certified accountant with a minimum of 5 years' applicable experience
• Previous involvement in general ledger and costing
• Thorough comprehension of Singapore FRS
• Audit background is beneficial
• Familiarity with SAP is preferred
