Position Overview:
The Systems Engineer role is based in Singapore and will work closely with the IT Manager in Singapore as well as the rest of the Group IT in overseeing the company's technology operations. This position will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of IT systems, providing technical support to end-users, and assisting with various IT projects. Additionally, they will ensure that our IT systems are effective, secure, and aligned with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the Group IT across all office sites in managing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including help desk support, system administration, and network management.
· Assist in Designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud solutions to support the company's business objectives.
· Monitor and optimize Azure services and resources to ensure high availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
· Support the implementation and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure to ensure they are effective, secure, and aligned with our business objectives.
· Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems promptly.
· Collaborate with the IT Team and other stakeholders to plan and execute IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
· Assist in ensuring the security of company data and systems through the implementation of security measures and protocols.
· Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry and make recommendations for their adoption.
· Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs and requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology.
· Proven experience in a similar role, with at least 5 years of experience.
· Knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications, including networking, security, cloud computing, and data management.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Knowledge of Azure services, including computer, storage, networking, and security.
· Experience with Azure management tools and technologies, such as Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and Azure Resource Manager will be of added advantage
· Understanding of cloud computing principles and best practice will be of added advantage
