JOB DESCRIPTION
- Strategize and formulate R&D, as well as industrial engagement plans related to metal and hybrid / composite processing, to improve technology competency and industry adoption.
- Lead R&D projects on metal and hybrid / composite processing with highly skilled researchers and engineers and provide coaching, guidance and career development to members of the team.
- Develop novel metal and composite forming processes, as well as sustainable and circular processes for metals.
- Plan research projects and resources to complete the existing projects; apply for new potential competitive funding.
- Interact with partners and customers from research institutes and industry to define and refine research projects.
- Provide timely project update and reports to team members, collaborators and sponsors.
- Perform other ad-hoc roles / tasks as required / assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- PhD / EngD in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science and Engineering.
- Experience with materials processing and characterization in an R&D or industry environment.
- Proven track record of innovation in materials science and engineering, material processing / characterization.
