Port Operations Specialist (POS) Management
- Performance Management and Tracking: Enhance and utilise tracking systems to fairly evaluate POS team members, using data to highlight areas of excellence and improvement.
- Training & Administration: Review and continually enhance training materials and curriculum. Manage administrative tasks efficiently, including organising and preparing for monthly team meetings. Facilitate training scheduling with minimal disruption to operations by coordinating closely with training providers.
- Assets & Inventory Management: Collaborate with General Cargo (GC) Operation Performance team to maintain a robust management system. Regularly ensure that all tools and equipment are inspected, calibrated, and ready for use.
Improvement Projects
- Process and Technological Enhancements: Drive initiatives to refine operations, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and safety. Work closely with Mechanisation and Digitalisation teams to integrate new technologies and processes, assisting in trials and data analysis to fine-tune operations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other administrative duties and handle ad-hoc tasks as instructed by the manager.
Job Requirement:
- Diploma or equivalent education qualification, with a preference for a background in port operations or related fields.
- Proficient in the use of basic computer software and systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- Physically fit, capable of handling and moving heavy items when necessary.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects efficiently.
