Job Responsibilities:
- Formulating procurement strategy and preparation of work package breakup for subcontracts and suppliers
- Implementation of Company procurement procedure
- Pre-qualification of suitable subcontractors and suppliers for the project
- Ensures proper preparation of and completeness of subcontractor/supplier tender documents
- Review scope definition documents and interfaces to remove ambiguity and scope gaps
- Review queries by bidders and responses to ensure clarity and alignment with Company’s expectations and required apportionment of risk
- Bid price analysis, review of all bidder submissions including qualifications / proposed amendments to Company’s terms and scope documents
- Internal alignment on selection of bidders and final negotiations to close on all open price items and terms prior to award
- Managing and aligning the cost of packages against approved budgets to keep within the project financial and profit objectives
- Preparation of recommendation reports for approval to commit to subcontractor/suppliers
- Preparation of Letters of Award and Contract Documents and following through for proper execution with due expedition.
- Providing all bid price information to the Estimating Team to build on current pricing database and for use on future projects and benchmarking
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building Sciences/Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Must be able to comprehend construction drawings, project specifications.
- Familiar with the subcontractor & supplier network / obtain information through active networking with colleagues and Company database.
