Kerry Consulting is partnering with a Asia headquartered Fintech company that is backed by a large financial institution. Our client is in the business of providing financing solutions to large corporates as well as SME organizations across the region. They are currently looking to hire a Senior legal counsel with people management responsibility to join them their legal team reporting directly to the Management Team.
Responsibilities
As a legal counsel for the organization, you will partner directly with the management team to provide strategic advice to the business on navigating the regulatory landscape for business operation as well as expansion in the region. You will assist in reviewing financing transaction documents, both bilateral and syndicated. You will play an active role in partnering closely with the product team on the legal matters for new product launches in the market. You will also assist to review a broad range of commercial agreements such as but not limited to SaaS agreement, IP agreements, Data privacy issues, service level agreements as well as employment related matters.
Requirements
In order to success in this role, you should have at least 10 years PQE with relevant experience within the financial services sector. Prior experience as a legal counsel for the banking sector supporting wholesale banking/corporate banking business will have an advantage. You should enjoy working in a fast paced environment and is someone who is highly collaborative. As the role requires frequent communication with North Asia counterparts, mandarin language capability would be required.
