Job Summary:
You will facilitate the introduction of new products into the manufacturing facility in accordance with the Common Product Development (CPD) processes. Collaborating with Industrialization Process Engineers, you will ensure optimal product and process design for manufacturability. Your role will include developing and implementing manufacturing layouts and processes, creating associated documentation, and executing prototype and pilot activities. You will work on issues of limited scope, following established practices and procedures to analyze situations or data.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Industrialization Process Engineers on NPI and Continuation Engineering projects.
- Support EA Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and backend processes, including manufacturing tests.
- Program Universal SMT equipment to ensure efficient prototype processing.
- Set up and calibrate EA processes for prototype builds, including SPI, SMT, Reflow, Wave Soldering, Routing, etc.
- Create manufacturing deliverables for printed circuit board assembly prototypes and pilots.
- Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes in electronic assembly manufacturing.
- Resolve issues using analytical methods to improve manufacturing yield and efficiency.
- Handle multiple projects and priorities in a teamwork environment and perform job functions in a timely manner.
- Streamline manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to improve first-pass yield, and eliminate rework and scrap.
- Interface with vendors, production, test, and quality teams to resolve engineering issues.
Requirements:
- Diploma/ITE in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electronic Manufacturing Assembly.
- Good understanding of printed circuit board design, SMT lines, test equipment, and machinery setup.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and PCB design guidelines.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using CAMCAD tools.
- Ability to work in teams or independently, with a strong drive for results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability for overtime as needed.
