Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems to meet specific business requirements.
- Ensure systems meet business requirements and comply with best practices for data quality, security, and privacy.
- Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and data scientists to identify optimal data delivery designs and automation opportunities for manual processes.
- Develop processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Utilize scripts to automate tasks related to data management.
- Create custom software components and analytics applications to enrich and streamline business processes.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. Consideration will also be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree plus relevant skills and an eagerness to learn.
- Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Java.
- Acquaintance with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or other ETL frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to understand the broader context.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a distinct advantage.
