SALES AND OPERATIONS MANAGER

Role Description:

As the Sales and Operations Manager at OUR WOOD LOFT PTE. LTD., you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and ensuring seamless operational execution for our clients' events. This multifaceted position requires a blend of strategic sales acumen, operational expertise, and exceptional customer service skills to successfully manage the end-to-end process of event planning and execution. You will be responsible for generating revenue through client acquisition and retention, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering strong client relationships to ensure the delivery of exceptional events.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Trainee to be introduced to the company mission, values, and goals. Study organizational structure and reporting lines. Understand HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Trainee will research on industry trends, major players, and market segmentation. Analyze the company's positioning and competitive advantages. Examine case studies of successful events within the industry.

2. Trainee will learn the company's sales process from lead generation to closing deals. Shadow experienced sales representatives during client meetings. Have training on effective communication, negotiation, and objection handling. Do role-playing exercises to practice sales scenarios.

3. Trainee will develop an in-depth understanding of the company's event services and packages. How to tailor offerings to meet client needs. Utilizing CRM software for lead management, pipeline tracking, and customer relationship management.

4. Trainee to understand the overview of the event planning lifecycle: from conception to execution. Understanding timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ability to identify, negotiate with, and manage vendors (e.g., caterers, decorators). Know the Importance of building strong vendor relationships. Coordinating with different teams and departments involved in event execution. Do Logistics planning: transportation, venue setup, and breakdown.

5. Trainee to learn upselling and cross-selling strategies. Key account management and client retention techniques. Introduction to sales metrics and KPIs. Analyzing sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

6. Trainee will learn and use strategies from trainer on clients for building long-term relationships. Handling client feedback and complaints effectively. Identifying potential risks associated with event planning and management. Developing contingency plans.

7. Trainee will be able to analyze existing processes and suggesting improvements for efficiency. Implementing best practices for streamlining operations. Learn the basics of team management, motivation, and conflict resolution. Delegating tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations.

8. Trainee will have a strong understanding on the integration of sales and operations strategies.

Review of key learnings and accomplishments. Introduction to project management software for better coordination and tracking. Preparing for a seamless transition into the Sales and Operations Manager role and slowly start taking on more responsibilities gradually.
