Tasks
- Draft, prepare, and vet commercial and government contracts, including risk management, commercial management and compliance to corporate guidelines (such as supply contracts, procurement contracts, offer, MOU, NDA, service and license agreements)
- Negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers and affiliated companies
- Project Bid Support: Vet bidding document and compile required commercial documents in bid submission
- Support legal, company secretarial, commercial and financial matters / functions / topics of the company
- Prepare business presentation on commercial topics as required
- Collaborate with Rohde & Schwarz German headquarters to ensure alignment of commercial and legal policies
- Provide legal and commercial support to affiliated companies in APAC
Qualifications
- Law degree or equivalent professional qualifications from an accredited law school/university
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience preferably in law or contract management
- Good knowledge of commercial law (especially contract law) in application and international trade law and practices in general
- Prior experience of face-to-face negotiations with customers or suppliers will be advantageous
- Strong business acumen, vocal, able to articulate commercial message to counterparts of different jurisdictions and a good team player
- IT savvy (Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet tools)
- Willingness to travel in the APAC region and to our German headquarters
- English and Chinese reading and writing skills is essential to be able to communicate with associates and customers
- Knowledge of German Language is an added advantage, so as to be able to communicate with German associates and customers
