General Purpose of Position:
The Senior Specialist is responsible for ensuring a high quality of holistic educational provision, adopting approved educational frameworks, and complying with relevant regulatory standards set by the respective regulatory agencies.
Summary of Responsibilities/Duties but not limited to:
1. Oversee the management and administration of quality assurance across EC Centres
2. Lead the design and evaluation of the curriculum to incorporate key theories, trends, and practices.
3. Lead the implementation of pedagogical approaches and guide the team at the Centre to adopt developmentally appropriate practices.
4. Review the design of the learning environment to ensure alignment with the teaching philosophy, approach, vision, mission, and values.
5. Advocate and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion through curriculum leadership, staff training, and stakeholder partnerships.
6. Facilitate leaders’ coaching and mentoring structures and build a culture of mentoring.
7. Guide inquiry projects by harnessing research findings to review, innovate, and design the curriculum and pedagogical approaches.
8. Achieve annual KPI targets.
9. Ensure alignment with the broader regulatory environment, understanding relevant and overlapping regulatory schemes, the roles they perform, and the obligations they impose across Departments
10. Perform any other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in EC or any related field, ECDA L2 certified with Leadership qualification.
- Preferably with ACTA/ACPL Trained.
- Comfortable with travelling frequently to 3 different locations (HG, JE, CCK).
- 10 years of experience in Education Sector (Leadership Role).
- Experience of working in the field of Quality Assurance, including experience of Quality Audit.
- Candidates with an MEd will have an added advantage.
