Currently, we're hiring Legal Consultant to join us with:
- 5+ years of relevant experience as in-house or commercial lawyer.
- In-house legal experience is preferred (directly, or as a secondee) though not essential.
- Proficiency in writing and drafting legal documents in Japanese, as well as the capacity to support the commercial team in the Japan market. Proficiency in both Japanese and English, and qualification to the Japanese bar is essential.
- Strong commercial understanding and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, with a view of providing commercially tailored advice.
The responsibilities for this role will include:
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including creative, advertising, and digital marketing, procurement, technology and partnership deals.
- Provide practical legal advice related to consumer digital experiences, brand marketing activations, promotions and consumer data and privacy.
- Develop, implement, and advise on a wide range of commercial marketplace contracts, Terms and Conditions of sale, distribution agreements and related policies.
- Support commercial relationships with retailers, distributors and partners that represent the company in the marketplace for Japan market.
