Physical Education Teacher [Early & Primary Years] - Maternity Cover
XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit a dynamic, experienced Physical Education Teacher to teach students from Early and Primary years from Pre K to 5. This is a 4.5 months contract position starting from 1 August 2024 to 13 December 2024.
Main Responsibilities
- Teachers should be willing to contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the School.
- Demonstrates professional ethics and international mindedness in line with the school’s mission.
- Adheres cooperatively to XCL policies and regulations, including duties, deadlines, programme requirements (IB).
- Seeks clarification in case of lack of clarity in order to fully meet all expectations of the role and sets and maintains consistently high standards.
- Adheres to the teaching standards such as, approaches to teaching, caring for students, excellent communication to students and parents, collaboration in the workplace and professionalism.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment documentation
Person Specifications
- Preferred minimum 2 years of relevant PYP experience from International School
- Undergraduate degree from a recognized university or college and relevant certification required.
- Teacher professional certification specific to applied position.
- Possess skills and attitudes aligned to the purpose, mission and vision of XCL World Academy (Singapore)
- Need clear eagerness, resilience and understanding to engage and collaborate in the development of a highly aspirational school
- Be flexible and willing to take on new challenges
