Responsibilities:
· Responsible for creating design concepts and mood boards that reflect the client's vision. Able to use creativity and knowledge of design principles to come up with innovative and aesthetically pleasing ideas.
· Ability to assess the available space and plan how to optimize it for functionality and aesthetics. This includes creating floor plans and layouts.
· Ability to select appropriate materials, colors, and finishes of various materials and assess their suitability for different spaces and applications.
· Choosing the right furniture, fixtures, and decor items that align with the design concept and meet the client's needs is an essential part of the job.
· Work closely with contractors, and other professionals to ensure that the design concept is implemented correctly. This involves site visits and project management.
· Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies is important to offer innovative solutions to clients.
· Able to effectively communicate their ideas to clients and team members through presentations and design proposals to convey their concepts.
· Understanding and adhering to building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements is crucial to ensure the safety and legality of the design.
· Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Recognized Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or equivalent qualification.
· Proficient in 3-D studio MAX, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator and other design related software.
· Minimum 3-5 years related experience in commercial design works, strong in technical knowledge, shop drawings, site survey and detail drawings.
· Experienced in handling projects start-to-finish, sales, design and execution.
