We are looking for a Decarbonisation Specialist to align our software offering with the forestry, land use and agriculture methodologies and guidance, from emissions measurement to science-based target setting and decarbonisation strategies and actions.
In this role you will:
- Contribute to developing our product-related decarbonisation SaaS offering
- Be responsible for driving compliance of our software and processes with the product carbon accounting standards and the sector-specific agriculture and land sector standards
- Enable interdisciplinary teams to develop and evolve our offerings for clients that seek to measure and reduce their greenhouse emissions
- Develop innovative technology-led solutions for complex problems, such as supplier engagement and supply chain traceability
- Participate in industry associations and networks to stay up to date on the latest trends in standards, global best practices and technology
You should have:
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in any climate consulting or in-house corporate roles; with 2+ years of carbon accounting specifically
- An understanding of product (life cycle assessment) carbon accounting methodologies, in particular ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 on life cycle assessment, ISO14067 on the carbon footprint of products, GHG Protocol Product Life Cycle Standard, and the WBCSD Pathfinder Framework 2.0
- A passion for catalyzing change and working with multinational enterprises to decarbonise their operations and supply chains in line with the Paris Agreement
Even better if you:
- Familiar with the GHG Protocol Land Sector and Removals guidance and the SBTi Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) guidance
- Have an understanding of the 2006 IPCC Guidelines and 2019 Refinements for the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector
- Thrive when working on complex problems with interdisciplinary teams
- Have published research on life cycle assessments
- Have experience leveraging geo-location technologies that support monitoring, reporting and verification
- Are an entrepreneurial problem solver comfortable with managing risk and ambiguity
- Are a self-starter with a growth-mindset and comfortable working independently to drive toward results
