JOB DESCRIPTION: CLEANING SPECIALIST
We are seeking a Leather Goods Cleaning Specialist to join our team. The Cleaning Specialist will be responsible for refreshing, cleaning, restoration of leather goods, ensuring that they meet or exceed brand standards and customer expectations.
-Dry-cleans bags, handbags, jackets, shoes, wallets and accessories.
- Manages and operates cleaning machines to wash or dry clean customer bags and personal items. These articles include specialized clothing or articles like suede, leather, furs, linens, Pu leather or PVC.
These items usually cannot be cleaned by a standard washer and dryer and will need to be dry- cleaned by hand
- primary responsibility is to ensure proper cleaning of clothing, bags or personal articles that customers bring in with specialised dry cleaning agents.
-Monitor and operate various industrial machines and equipment. This includes adjusting equipment or machines, ensuring proper chemicals are used, and following all cleaning instructions for each article, bag or clothing item.
-Treating spots or stains prior to drycleaning and placing them into the machines. - Cleaning and polishing of metal hardware on bags and accessories
- Simple packing of cleaned bags, straps, accessories items with paper and plastic bags before placing into paper bags
- Detailed checking and assessment of condition of customer items before the dry-cleaning process. To take pics and upload them in our system if any irregularities are found
Duties and Responsibilities
● Have a strong grasp of the different types of leather and fabric, and chemicals to be used during the restoration process
● Pick up the ability to display, understand, and apply an array of application techniques on leather and fabric products
● Pick up the ability to spray evenly and across different materials
● Display efficiency, accuracy, and craftsmanship when working on bags, shoes, and accessories
● Any other tasks as assigned by your supervisor or Management
