Job Description:
- Maintain and administer networks, Server, OS, Storage and backup of VMware VSphere and VMware Horizon VDI environments and applications.
- Perform daily VMware VSphere and VMware Horizon VDI administration tasks including troubleshooting, hardware maintenance and software patches, fine-tune monitoring alert and security configuration.
- Provide on call, 24x7 1st level remote and on site supports for systems and networks on a rotating basis. Implement corrective procedures to resolve production problems and minimize unplanned system outages.
- Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution of quarterly preventive maintenance.
- Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment.
- Performing root-cause analysis to identify Client operating system issues or faults and recommending solutions to resolve them within a stipulated SLA.
- Coordinate with external parties and customers for problem resolutions
- Review current processes and identify gaps and provide continuous process improvements.
- As required, lead the post-delivery team to maintain and keep track of all post-delivery projects relating to:
- Inventory Asset List
- All preventive maintenance schedules and ad hoc tasks
- Compile and deliver all forms of maintenance reports (e.g. installation report, incident report, preventive maintenance report, ISO report, Etcetera)
Requirements:
- Min 1-2 years of working experiences supporting enterprise desktop environment and good technical expertise in VMware VSphere and VMware Horizon VDIo Knowledge of IT Infrastructure such as OS, network, storage and backup.
- Strong aptitude for technology required, including proven ability to learn new platforms, systems, processes and skills sets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Understanding of negotiation, conflict and risk management skills.
- Excellent vendor relation management skills.
- Quality Escalation Management, Account Management/Review, Exception Handling, Costs/Overhead Management, Contract Renewal skills and ensure that all SLA/KPI are met.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to act as a good team player demonstrating dedication, reliability, adaptability, initiative, good judgement and ability to work independently.
- Candidates with one or more of the following skillsets will have an advantage:
OS Skill in:
o Window servers(AD, Clustering)
o Linux (Red Hat, Centos, Ubuntu, Etcetera)
o Systems Security, Performance and Monitoring
Skill in Storage Area Network (SAN) or Network Attached Storage (NAS)
Skills in Networking (CCNA)
Virtualization, VMware
Backup and Recovery Application (Veeam, NetBackup)
