Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements and gather relevant data for cost analysis.
- Assist in the procurement process by soliciting bids, evaluating vendor proposals, and negotiating contracts for goods and services.
- Review subcontractor agreements and purchase orders to ensure compliance with project requirements and budget constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Estimator in the construction industry, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices, as well as building codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and tools, such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar programs.
