Location: Tampines
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end order cycle for inventory management, coordinating with suppliers and distribution centers to ensure timely delivery to island-wide stores.
- Ensure healthy on-shelf availability of inventory to meet customer demands.
- Collaborate with Demand Planners on weekly demand forecasting and communicate weekly allocations to stores.
- Work with flow-through suppliers to secure stock for promotions and festive periods.
- Manage timely reorders of all perishable SKUs with suppliers, continuously improving service levels, including van sales and DSP vendors.
- Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and improving stock holding by managing MOQs and delivery frequency.
- Collaborate with the Commercial team and distribution centers to manage promotions, festive build-ups, new products, excess products, and exit strategies for discontinued items.
- Develop strategies to manage slow-moving stock and plan for timely clearance with the Commercial team.
- Use demand forecasting, inventory analysis, and data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in replenishment processes and performance.
- Monitor and track KPIs, conduct root cause analysis, and drive performance improvements.
- Manage key upscale indent vendors.
- Ensure full compliance with processes and audits, highlighting any exceptions.
- Lead and manage the team, setting goals, providing guidance, support, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Lead and support supply chain projects.
- Generate weekly reports to review vendor service level performance.
- Develop and implement replenishment strategies considering lead times, transportation costs, and supplier performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Business, preferably a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Experienced in forecasting, data analytics, inventory planning, supply chain concepts, and statistical forecasting.
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Dynamic, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong analytical capabilities, excellent negotiation, and planning skills.
- Excellent communication (spoken and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Power Query, Power BI, and strong analytical skills are an advantage.
- Knowledge of DC operational routines in the retail industry is beneficial.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
