Localization Program Manager

and how truly localized content is vital to successful businesses.
Key Responsibilities
• 5+ years experience as Localization Project Manager, with 2+ years vendor managementexperience a plus.
• Work with key digital content teams on localization of content for the eCommerce experience on platforms.
• An understanding of localization practices and a dedication for evangelizing these practices.
• Excellent analytical, planning, execution and follow-up skills; and will coordinate with other Localization Project and Program Managers to create consistent processes and practices.
• Lead localization projects from beginning to end, using our in-house translation management software (WorldServer) and translation memory tools.
• Work with both internal and external language specialist teams.
• Act as point of contact for urgent localization requests coming out of the regional teams; and demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, priorities and vendors concurrently.
• Lead and direct localization vendors, giving them clear and concise guidelines on eCommerce requirements.
• Oversee Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) projects during engineering release cycles, campaigns, programs and new product introductions.
• Work effectively with others in a constantly evolving environment and under time constrained launch schedules; and effectively lead difficult decisions and conflicting points of view.
• Build reporting for localization functions within the digital content team.
• Identify and communicate innovative ideas to improve processes and performance.
• Have a working understanding of web technology tools such as XML, HTML, Photoshop, and varying digital asset types.
• Localization budget management and vendor-side experience is a plus
Education
• BA/BS in Localization, Linguistics, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
• Previous website and/or e-commerce localization experience
• Project Management qualification/certification a plus.
