The Business Analyst will support Global Sales Director in creating and maintaining an overall pricing strategy, including pricing schemes for the various products and services Ships Agency offers. The process from market knowledge, product portfolio and overall strategic focus,
In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with piece of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. Who you will report to:
The Business Analyst will support Head of Tenders and Contract Management and Global Sales Director in driving pricing strategy for all larger tenders.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for continuously collecting & monitoring competitor price points from wider organization.
- Comparing different revenue streams, profitability, peer benchmarking, competitor benchmarking, stress test scenarios and financial exposure.
- Responsible for end-to-end price optimization tool including views on projected agency revenue.
- Support the global pricing domain for all products/services/offers, responsible for pricing governance.
- Support definition of profitable segment-specific pricing schemes.
- Collect data and support tender & contract discussions on pricing side.
- Actively using data to drive decision-making.
- Investigate adoption of price prediction tool on spot calls.
- Drive pricing mindset shift within organization and train key people involved in sales.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level in business, engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant experience, preferably in management consulting, investment banking or private equity.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent structural and organization skills.
