PvB Security Operations Analyst

Job Summary

· Perform day-to-day operations such as processing of Structured Products transactions (mainly FCN / ELN and OTC Derivatives)

· Ensure all transactions are processed accurately / verified according to the bank’s operational instructions, procedures, and policies

· Instruct and monitors market settlement, cash funding between the bank and custodian and ensure these are processed accurately and timely

· Follow up on unmatched/unsettled trades with dealer, broker counterparties

· Adhere to all required controls and procedures as detailed in DOI

· Ensure proper and timely escalation to stakeholders

· Support ad-hoc projects, UAT / UVT till successful implementation

· Provide settlement support on SG Public holiday

· Candidate is required to possess sufficient investment transaction knowledge and capability to make informed decisions.

· Candidate is expected to support the Wealth Management (“WM”) journey by proactively ensuring any client-impact issues surfacing are smoothly handled and resolved.

· Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned per Ops or Business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Business

· Enable and encourage continuous improvement initiatives for delivering end to end superior client experience and value proposition for both client and bank.

· Client obsession and identify opportunities for transformation of service standards.

Risk Management

· Proactive identification, preventive control and mitigation of key process/ operational risks.

· Strong detective controls and continuous learning and fixing from risks incidents.

· Ensuring timely reporting of risk items as per the Group Risk Management Framework.

· Ensuring adherence to all Group Policies and Procedures and adequate training to staff to ensure compliance at all times.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

· Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

· Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

· Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.

· Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of experience in Private Banking / Wealth Management operations
• Strong understanding of wealth products including its process standards and operating controls.
• Understand business strategy, value proposition and client value proposition.
• Deep understanding of processes, processing platforms, operations, service and technology, and ability to leverage on technology and automation, and effective risk management and governance controls including effective compliance controls, oversight.
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
