• To be responsible for the financial accounting of companies under the Motors Singapore Group
• Co-ordinate with shared services centre relating to accounting operations including day-to-day finance operations so as to keep proper accounting records and meet reporting requirements on time.
Job Content
• Financial accounting
o Prepare monthly closing journal
o Prepare / Review monthly accounts reconciliations and schedules
o Review monthly inventories ageing report for adequate NRV
o Control chart of a/c, review consistency, control a/c creation and archive
o Assist FM in annual insurance policy renewal review
o Audit review support (External and GCAD review)
o Ensure compliance to accounting standards
o Preparing and submit Benefit in Kind (BIK) - Car and Car-related Benefits
o Annual Statutory Accounts, XBRL
• Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivables
o Review of sales ledger and purchase ledger reconciliation
o Review monthly inter-co billing and ensure consistent accounting treatment
o Review debtors aging reports and vendors statement reconciliation
o Prepare commissions for payroll submission
o Prepare payroll journals
o Monitor daily cashflow requirements
o Prepare/ review Banker’s Guarantees applications, maintain records and monitor expiry/renewal
o Prepare / review payments to vendors
• Provide advice, guidelines and instructions to shared services centre and operations on day-to-day accounting matters
• GST and tax
o Review GST submission workings and GST reconciliation test
o Prepare tax & deferred tax computation for accounting provision
o Prepare corporate tax computations for review by HO and tax consultants
• Fixed Assets and Capex
o Prepare capex and maintain capex records for new / replacement of fixed assets
o Maintain asset register
o Prepare costing for demo registration
• Budget and forecasts - Provide assistance to reporting team to formulate budget and forecasts
• Collaborate with Digital Technology team – user acceptance tests for new programs, parameters and interface set-ups, etc
Job Requirement
• Minimum Diploma holder in Accounting & Finance with 5-6 years of working experience or Degree holder in Accounting & Finance with 3-4 years of working experience
